Grade exams

Grade system with 8 grades is a platform for students who wish to pursue their career in music and arts having common syllabus taught with an intellectual diversity by highly talented staff. Exam system creates responsibility for the students, continuously evaluate the knowledge and help them achieve proficiency

Due to the pandemic situation of COVID-19, Grade Examination 2021 - Term I is organized on a Digital Platform.

  • Practical & Theory Exams will be conducted virtually
  • Exercise books will be checked online

Grade certification

How to apply?

Register”. with PSNA Emphatic fine arts and receive your unique ID.
  • There is no age limit for any grade
  • Any student pursuing music, dance and fine arts courses can apply. No academic Qualification needed
  • Gradation scales are from 1 to 8. However a student can apply for any grade directly based on their level of competence as advised by their teacher.
  • Students can appear for exams only with the endorsement of the teacher.
  • The grade to which the student can appear will be decided by respective teachers
  • Examination will be conducted in various centers

Mode of Payments

The Tuition fees should be remitted as a demand draft in favour of the Director, PSNA Emphatic fine arts, Distance education

Scheme of Examinations

For Initial Grade, I to VI Practical Examinations only will be conducted and for Grade VII and VIII Practical and Theory Examinations will be conducted.
The examination fees should be paid before the examinations.
Exam Regulations : For All Music (Vocal) and Instruments Programmes
  • Students only will be allowed in the examination hall.
  • Students should bring their identity card and Hall ticket to the examination.
  • Students should bring their own instruments for practical examinations.

Criteria for pass and Classification

A candidate for the certification Grade Certificate Programme will be declared as passed if he / she secure a minimum of 35% in practical examinations. The successful candidates who pass by fulfilling the above stipulations will be arranged in the following classes;
  • A candidate securing 60 % or above will be declared as passed in First Class
  • A candidate securing 80 % or above will be declared as passed with Distinction.
  • special recognition award for Distinction candidates
